In the present work, the thematic of motivation in the classroom of Spanish as a Foreign Language is developed, the importance of this factor in the learning process and the elaboration of strategies to work with the levels of motivation. The research develops those strategies used by different teachers dedicated to the teaching of Spanish as a second language. The objective was to identify, through an in-depth analysis, how six Spanish teachers in different workplaces around the world proposed and developed these motivational strategies in the classroom before the COVD-19 contingency, as well as the changes and final results, so that these strategies would be functional in virtual classrooms and be able to continue working with their students at a distance.Under a qualitative methodology and with the help of a questionnaire in Google Forms, it was deduced that there is no set of specific functional strategies, but that everything that plays a role in the teaching-learning process, must be adapted according to the needs of students, or, as in this case, what the context itself demands.
