The successful accomplishment of the learning process in a FL classroom is dependent, among other factors, upon the learners' motivation. In bringing about learners' motivation, teachers arguably have the greatest part to play. This work gives insights into understanding such theoretical issues as the role of motivation in FL classes, the factors that affect FL learners motivation and the motivational strategies teachers could consider employing in their classes, and methodological concerns to exploring EFL instructors' use of motivational strategies focusing on exploring the Mekelle University EFL instructors' use of motivational strategies. The work is particularly hoped to be of invaluable significance to EFL professionals to learning about their students' motivational intensity and considering the utilization of relevant motivational techniques in their respective contexts.
