Personalism pursues and promotes community life, based on reality and in no way separated from the divine reality. In accordance with such a vision which idealizes the journey allowing access to concrete facts, Emmanuel Mounier goes to Africa on the occasion of the French alliance, during which he takes an interest in the existential realities of the Africans at the socio-cultural, economic, political and environmental levels, which he analyzes with lucidity. He retains then of this people, a community existence which avoids any possibility of individual adventure. Moreover, Mounier retains that the Africans lead a life of passivity and innocence with regard to physical nature.
