Ana Moraine was born in Croatia, where she enjoyed climbing the neighbors' apricot trees and running through vineyards. She grew up, went to school, and worked as an insurance underwriter in Hamburg, Germany. Although she loved Europe, she never felt she belonged-until she landed in the United States.
