During the day, activities would consist of black powder rifle and pistol shoots, tomahawk and knife throwing. Of course there was always great cooking in everyone's cast iron pots. At one of these rifle shoots, White Fawn,{my wife} was getting ready to make her third shot at a steel target about 100 yards away when she heard a rattlesnake buzzing behind her, now after each shot they moved back five steps, she said that she couldn't because of the snake. One of the shooters located the snake, killed it, skinned it and ate it that night for supper. Oh, he did save the rattles and White Fawn did win that shoot.
