Autorenporträt
Alice Teeter is a Lecturer in Poetry at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She studied poetry at Eckerd College with Peter Meinke and her chapbook 20 CLASS A was published in 1975 by Morningstar Media. Her collection of poems String Theory won the Georgia Poetry Society's 2008 Charles B. Dickson Chapbook Contest. Her poetry collection When It Happens To You . . . was published in 2009 by Star Cloud Press, and Elephant Girls was published in 2015 by Aldrich. Teeter is a member of Alternate ROOTS, a service organization for artists at the intersection of arts and activism in the Southeast; a member of the Artist Conference Network, a national coaching community for people doing creative work; and a member of the Atlanta Women's Poetry Collective. She performs regularly with the Imprah!vables, a local theatrical improv troupe and co-leads, with Lesly Fredman, Improvoetry workshops that combine poetry writing and theatrical improv.
