Through the early traumatic event of his mother surviving being shot by his father, KING-B learned the power of how pain can be transformed for good or bad. He used the pain and discomfort of prison life to transform his mind and the mind of others who didn't know the power of pain. In his co-authored book Escaping the Pen, he teaches how to escape 'inner' prisons; in his first fiction Mouse Trap he shows the tragic consequences of these prisons.
