Mauro Tumler was born in 1960 and currently lives in Marling, nearby Meran. He is a locksmith by trade, but has mainly worked as a professional fireman for the last 32 years. In 2004 he trained as a mountain biking guide; for over 30 years an "unexplainable passion" has driven him to explore the mountains in the South Tyrol, Dolomites and the Trentino regions. This Mountain Bike Guide has been written in and about one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world, the Dolomites.
