MOVING WITH YOUNG CHILDREN can be exciting, but there are times it can be scary or confusing, if not distressing for them. So how does a child successfully cope, adjust, and ultimately, be happy and even excited about moving to their new home? And how can you as a parent, relative, friend, educator, or guardian help accomplish this? The new book Moving Away Will Be Okay! is the first in the Moments with Massy ¿ series, and can help. Although wise and compassionate for her young age, when Massy learns she is moving she finds herself consumed by emotions and filled with questions. But her lovable cat Blue, guides her through the process in a mindful, lighthearted, and playful way. Together, their adventurous journey takes them to a place of understanding and happiness during this change in their lives. In Moving Away Will Be Okay!, children will relate to Massy and Blue, while adults will learn to lean on the emotional support by bringing a sense of security during changes and challenges that children experience. Moments with Massy ¿ is designed to help adults create open and direct lines of communication vital to healthy life transitions, to identify children's feelings, acknowledge commonality, and ultimately provide instruction to a path of emotional growth and wellness. And while the story is indeed about moving, the universal message conveys valuable life lessons for all children. Love has no boundaries, is always where you are, and follows you no matter your address. In an upbeat rhyming style similar to Dr. Seuss, whether you are moving or not, this fun and entertaining adventure will surely capture every child and family's heart. YEARS AGO, when KELLIE CARTE-SEARS learned her young grandchildren were moving to a different city from where she lived, she decided the best way to assist them with this change was to find a book that would help them embrace their emotions and let them know everything would be okay-a book that would show them moving didn't have to be so scary but could be fun and adventurous. But she couldn't find a book that was "real" in a way that her grandchildren would connect with. So Kellie went home and wrote, "Moving Away Will Be Okay". Shortly after, she wrote her second book, "You're Not Bad, We All Get Mad" and has other books in her Moments with Massy ¿ series already underway. Kellie Carte-Sears has been an entrepreneur for over 30 years, starting businesses as a way to solve problems. Her drive to fulfill market gaps and the needs of others has gained her great success on many different platforms. Her newest book series, Moments with Massy ¿ is no different. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Tiffin University and Associate of Arts degrees in both Social and Behavioral Science and Psychology from Terra State Community College. Aside from her professional life, she takes the most pleasure spending time with her husband and family. Her daughter is a grade school teacher and a wonderful mother of 3 children ranging from ages 6 to 15 years old. They are all very active in her life and assist her with her books. She also has a 62 lb. slobbering slouchy English Bulldog that keeps them all laughing. Her family life inspires and spills into her books. Kellie's insights, experiences, faith in God, and psychological comprehension as it relates to positive interaction and behavior, provides her with an ability to directly understand and connect with others. Using the talents and gifts God has given her, she is offering her books as a way to assist children during life changes and challenges.
