Debra Cootware lives in Greenfield. Massachusetts. She homeschooled four children through high school. She's a professional artist and enjoys combining her love for art and children. Debra is also an ordained minister. Her aim, through Moxie, is to partner with parents and caregivers in showing kids how to be kind and love others. The inspiration for her book series is her sweet dachshund. Though Moxie is a friend to everyone on Meridian Street, she learned the hard way to give bees plenty of space. Debra's husband, Greg, is a bee keeper with 55 bee hives.
