Autorenporträt
When James (Jim) A. Mourey, Ph.D., was a wee lad, his family had a book series that taught virtues using famous people from history - like Thomas Edison and Louis Pasteur - joined by anthropomorphic animal sidekicks. His family also kept other books around, lots of books, including Aesop's Fables, Mother Goose's Nursery Rhymes, Grimm's Fairy Tales, and other delightful stories featuring cute animals and a "moral of the story." Thus, it comes as no surprise that this book, Mr. Fox Has Lost His Socks, is the third children's book in a series of three that Jim has written in honor of the books he and his siblings loved so dearly growing up. Day to day, Jim is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at DePaul University in Chicago and a Visiting Professor of Marketing at IÉSEG in Paris and Lille, France. Jim's classes have been described as a "twice-a-week comedy show filled with knowledge." He has over a decade's worth of experience working, teaching, and consulting on the topics of marketing and relationship development and delivers keynote speeches and workshops on these subjects across the country. Jim serves as the Vice President for the international non-profit Creative Opportunities Unlimited, which helps bring creative problem solving to children around the world. Jim also volunteers for the global Odyssey of the Mind school program, helping to coordinate the Illinois association. For adults, Jim has also authored two books - Urge: Why You Really Want What You Want (and How to Make Everyone Want What You've Got) and Fusion: A Modern How-To Guide for Integrated Marketing Strategy (From Creative Spark to Synergistic Explosion). In his spare time Jim also sings in a Chicago-based a cappella group (The Uptones), hones his improvisational skills at The Second City, and does his best to make the world a smarter, funnier, more musical, better loved, and more loving place one day at a time...he would also likely be cast as Diego if, for some reason, there is ever a live film version of Go, Diego, Go!
