Born in the little farming town of Tillman, South Carolina, near historic Beaufort, South Carolina, the author grew up with a rich storytelling legacy where her father, a minister, told them stories many evenings, around the fireplace as they roasted sweet potatoes and peanuts. She has served as a teacher, a media specialist, an administrator and a college professor. Her greatest joy is having opened her home to home school many grands and their friends. This is her second book for children. Demi is her 8 years old granddaughter.
