Michele Dunaway is a best selling author and an award-winning high school teacher who has taught more than 28 years. In addition to teaching English III, Michele advises the student newspaper and yearbook. She is a Journalism Education Association Distinguished Yearbook Adviser, a Dow Jones News Fund Special Recognition Adviser and a Missouri Interscholastic Press Association High School Journalism Teacher of the Year. Michele is an avid pet lover who shares her home with far too many rescued cats, who of course completely rule the roost. She lives in St. Louis and holds an M.A in Media Communication from Webster University, and Master Journalism Educator certification from the Journalism Education Association, which awarded her its Medal of Merit in 2009. She's a board member for Novelists, Inc., and a past president of Romance Writers of America's Published Author Special Interest Chapter. In her spare time, she helps students write their college essays and figure out what school is best for them.
