Paul Birch was educated at a public boarding school in Kent, where he achieved his school colours for rugby, athletics, swimming, shooting and, by his own admission, little else! He has spent most of his working life in advertising as a creative director and copywriter with ad agencies at home and abroad. More recently, he has been a carer, looking after people with dementia.
