In the ancient kingdom of Magadha lived Hemchandra, son of the king. And far from the palace, in the city of Mathura lived the beautiful Mrinalini, a member of a middle class family. Two people from two different worlds . . . yet they fall in love. What will happen when they get married in secret? Will the royal family ostracize the king's son? And will Hemchandra and Mrinalini's love stay strong in the face of a society that refuses to accept their relationship?
