Autorenporträt
Matt Ottley is an internationally acclaimed and multi-award winning artist, working equally across the fields of literature, visual arts and music. Matt has had more than thirty-five picture books published and awards include the CBCA Picture Book of the Year, the Queensland & NSW Premiers Awards for literature and the International IBBY Australia Illustrator Award. As a composer Matt is involved in an ongoing collaboration with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, The Literature Centre and Yamaha, in a multi-modal project called The Sound of Picture Books, which has been performed to over 10,000 students. His works have also been performed at the Perth International Arts Festival and the Perth Fringe Festival. In 2014, he was made an Endorsed Yamaha Artist for his work as a composer.
