In multi-channel communication, there are issues like: suitability and robustness of advanced modulation formats for high capacity long haul DWDM systems, optimal utilization of available bandwidth using optical solitons, need of improved and new dispersion management strategies and their convergence with conventional techniques, performance optimization of access networks, exploring low cost solutions for duplex networks, transmission of millimeter wave frequencies over fiber and alleviating the bottlenecks of multi-channel optical communication viz. Attenuation, Chromatic dispersion, Polarization mode dispersion (PMD) and Fiber non-linear effects such as: Self-phase modulation (SPM), Cross-phase modulation (XPM), Four wave mixing (FWM) and Timing Jitter. In this work, these issues have been addressed with different and modified approaches.
