El profesor S.N.A.Jaaffrey, conocido astrofísico, investiga en el campo de la astronomía de altas energías desde hace 44 años, incluyendo agujeros negros, binarias de rayos X y estallidos de rayos gamma. Actualmente está afiliado al Grupo Ravindra Nath Tagore de instituciones académicas en Kapasan, Rajasthan, India, como decano de la facultad de ciencias.
