The importance of maintenance is ever-increasing as a result of the widespread automation of manufacturing systems and the capital expenditure allocated to it, this makes maintenance an investment opportunity to be maximized and less of a cost center. However, taking advantage of such an opportunity can be quite cumbersome since obtaining an optimal balance in all the variables is necessary. Hence in this book, a bi-model-based multi-criteria optimization model for strategic maintenance scheduling in a manufacturing process is developed. This book will provide a basis for short and long-term performance evaluation of maintenance management in manufacturing systems and will also contribute to the enhancement of knowledge in multi-criteria maintenance optimization.
