These reinforcements combine the advantages of the conventional two dimensional or planar elements and the passive resistance offered by the additional three dimensional projections on their surface.This book, presents an insight into the effectiveness of such reinforcing elements in improving the strength and stability of cohesionless, loose to medium dense sand deposits. The second part of the study also deals with the development of an Artificial Neural Network that can predict the improvement in the soil parameters upon addition of such reinforcing elements.
