Since the catastrophe of 9/11 and the onset of global war against terror, the international system has continued to witness great surge in security challenges associated with arm conflict, subversion,terrorism and insurgency. But these are now exacerbated by mounting global discontents arising from poverty, ideological extremism, corruption and weak institutions especially in the developing countries. Unfortunately, Nigeria belongs to such state where element of failure has given rise to the evolution of Boko Haram insurgent group. The horror unleashed by this group has continued threaten northeast Nigeria and her neighbors countries thereby posing grave danger to regional stability. In fact, since 2009, more than 30,000 lives have been lost with 2.7 million more displaced. it was on this note that the MNJTF was deployed in 2015 as a 'regional force' with the mandate of eliminating Boko Haram. However, some observers have argued that for the past three years, the MNJTF has failedto live up its mandate. Against this backdrop, the study examine the impact of the MNJTF on the war against Boko Haram of Nigeria from 2015 to 2018 and made recommendations on the strength of its findings.
