The objective of this study was to develop a highly permeable, chlorine resistance and anti-biofouling RO polyimide membranes via interfacial polymerization of m-phenylene diamine (MPD) and 1,2,4,5-benzene tetracarbonyl chloride (BTC). Two types of nanofiller RO polyimide membranes were prepared: the multi-walled mixed matrix (MMM), a mixture of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as a filler in a polymer material as a matrix and a thin-film nanocomposite (TFN) during the formation of a thin-film layer with fillers on a porous matrix.
