The study in this book is focused on a relatively common disease of cerebral palsy. We have motivated our own work experience with these children to select the theme. In the work we wanted to give a comprehensive view of this disease from the nursing point of view, to stimulate interest and to raise the discussion about the needs and problems of children affected by childhood cerebral palsy. As a research method, we used a qualitative method of complex case, which we thoroughly and holistically examined three children with this diagnosis. To gain information, we chose a method of semi-standardized interview that we recorded with the consent of the persons addressed on a dictaphone and a method of studying the health documentation of the persons addressed. The information we have obtained gives us valuable statements on the basis of which we have developed a new theory using the metaparadigm of nursing under the "grounded theory" method, which points to the causality of nursing care with all spheres of children with cerebral palsy and the importance of multidisciplinary approach. Consequently, we set out recommendations for practice to make nursing care better.
