Produktbeschreibung
The book presents development of the GRUG mono- and parallel TreeBanks richly aligned on multiple levels. The acronym stands for the Georgian, the Russian, the Ukrainian, and the German languages. The GRUG initiative is a step toward the main goal - narrowing the existing gap between the less-resourced and the computationally advanced languages in the Human Language Technology field. Applying a series of tools, we have produced a collection of parallel TreeBanks as test data for discriminative model training for a supervised tree-to-tree alignment implementation. Development of parallel TreeBanks are oriented on important issues in computational linguistics and in HLT applications. They can be used for testing and evaluation of automatic parsers. The parallel TreeBanks can also serve as training or evaluation data for the example- and syntax-based Machine Translation and as a database for Translation Memory Systems.
