In India, "Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan" (SSA) felt that use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and computers in the form of Computer Aided Learning (CAL) may help in achieving the Computer literacy. CAL is to empower teachers for development of digital teaching learning material & their use. Multimedia is the combination of various digital media types such as text, images, sound and video, into an integrated multi-sensory interactive application or presentation to convey a message or information. computers have become important and ubiquitous tools, a minimal exposure to computers and training in their use will form part of professional education.In the view of suggestions and recommendations of SSA, NPE 1986, NCFTE 2009 and NCF 2005 we are aware of the need and importance of computer literacy, so in this aspect the researcher felt the need of investigating the Effectiveness of Multimedia Strategy on Computer Literacy among Elementary School teachers.
