Axèle Giroud is Lecturer in International Business at Bradford University School of Management. She has previously worked in the University of Paris 1, Panthéon-Sorbonne. She has conducted several research projects on Asia and multinational firms' activities in the region. She has taken part in several international seminars and has published articles and book chapters as well as completing several research reports for major international organisations. She recently published Transnationals, Technology and Economic Development (Edward Elgar, 2003). Alex T. Mohr is Lecturer in International Business and Management at Bradford University School of Management. His research focuses on multinational firms' activities in China and South-East Asia, international strategic alliances as well as international Human Resource Management. He has conducted several research projects in these areas and has published various books, journal articles and book chapters. Deli Yang is Lecturer in International Business at the Bradford University School of Management. Before embarking on an academic career, she had worked in the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, P.R. China for eight years. Her major research interests lie in the systems and corporate management of intellectual property to enhance the integration of the contentious patent, trademark, and copyright protection into trade and foreign direct investment. Her recent publications include a book entitled Intellectual Property and Doing Business in China and several papers in internationally known journals.
