This monograph deals with the problems of forming protective coatings on the surface of articles made from steels, refractory metals and carbon-carbon materials. The protective coatings are produced using the ecologically clean method of vacuum activated diffusion saturation. The method provides deposition of homogeneous protective coatings uniformly distributed on the surface of complex pieces having small cavities and pin holes. Produktbeschreibung
The monograph describes in detail the methods of high-temperature silicide coating formation on molybdenum, tungsten and niobium and considers the mechanism of coating behavior under the oxidizing medium attack. The conception of the high-temperature coating production on carbon-carbon materials is presented. The protective coatings on these materials are formed by the method of vacuum activated diffusion saturation under the simultaneous attack of gaseous and liquid media accompanied by the self-propagating high-temperature synthesis.
Autorenporträt
S.G. Rudenky studied solid state physics at Kharkov National Karazin University, doctor of Technical Sciences in the NSC KIPT. The main direction of S.G. Rudenky¿s activity is the development of multi-purpose coatings for the protection of products made from refractory metals and carbon materials by method of vacuum activated diffusion saturation.
