A Muskoka Murder Mystery. A young man's obsession with finding a Sasquatch brought him to the forests of Muskoka. And it brought him to his death. When he is found stabbed and dumped in Sunny Lake with no identification, Detective Inspector Caitlin Murphy and her homicide unit are tasked with finding his murderer. This shocking crime took place in the heart of Ontario's cottage country, a land of forests, lakes and pretty small towns, not cold-blooded murder. Who would have wanted to harm the Sasquatch hunter who swore he found real proof of the elusive creature? Murphy's team must find out who he was, what he found, and who killed him. What they uncover are a poisoned reservation, government incompetence and an old murder worth killing to keep secret. Murphy must also navigate her open marriage, a new romance with a complex woman, and a simmering Indigenous community fighting for truth. Can she get the killer to confess, or will he remain forever free?
