Mona Moon is not your typical 1930s young lady. She is a cartographer by trade, an explorer by nature, an adventurer by heart, and she's also rich as Midas. There's just one problem. Some folks of the establishment don't like Mona's progressive ideas for her employees and would love to see her run out of town. One of them is her next-door neighbor, Judge Garrett, whom Mona thinks is an idiot and despises. Judge Garrett is harsh with defendants in the courtroom, abusive to his family, and his hatred for Mona is well known. So when Garrett turns up dead on the Moon estate, the sheriff comes knocking on Mona's door. The Bluegrass bluebloods are beside themselves with glee, thinking they might rid themselves of this troublesome do-gooder from the North permanently. Mona's reaction to all this hullaballoo? Bring it on, folks! It's the worst year of the Great Depression, and Mona is determined to beat the odds, clear her name, or go down swinging! Adding to her troubles, Lord Farley has come back from England bringing Lady Alice Morrell with him. Will Lawrence Robert Emerton Dagobert Farley break Mona's heart again?
