This paper analyses the degree of cultural entrepreneurship at the Museu do Cangaço of Serra Talhada-PE, created and maintained by the Fundação Cultural Cabras de Lampião; discusses concepts such as culture, cultural production, cultural policy, folklore, museum, entrepreneurship, economy of culture, creative economy, local sustainable development; presents the current market possibilities in the museological field, both from an economic and social point of view. A Case Study is made regarding the social, artistic, cultural and economic aspects of the Museum, characterising it by its actions aimed at Sustainability and Development. The methodology applied was based on the use of questionnaires, interviews and bibliographical and documentary consultations. With this, it was obtained the result that the Museu do Cangaço has a high degree of cultural entrepreneurship, occupying a prominent place in the market in which it is inserted, due to its innovative and revolutionary characteristics within the context in which it is inserted.
