Autorenporträt
Robert Garrett served as a U.S. Army Correspondent covering East Asia as a stringer for Associated Press, United Press International and Stars and Stripes Newspaper. Following his term of active duty, he was a Copywriter for J. Walter Thompson Advertising Agency; Marketing Director for Sepia Magazine, a monthly magazine for the Black readership; and Program Director for the USA Olympic Volleyball Team. Garrett's previous works include a screenplay entitled 'Scrum', a comedy about rugby and 'Wake Up', a musical stage play with 16 original songs about saving the environment that has been licensed to be performed in Europe. The stage play script is currently being adapted for an animated movie (see www.wakeupthemusical.com). He has also recorded three original albums.Garrett received his BA in Zoology from UCLA and his MS in Fisheries Science and Aquatic Ecology from the University of Arizona. He is currently a Professor of Biology at Palomar College in San Marcos, California and a guitarist with the Fabulous Pelicans, a world traveled rock and roll band. (see www.pelicansband.com).
