This book examines the vicars choral of St Patrick's and Christ Church Cathedrals in Dublin during the nineteenth century. This book is a study of those who made music within these cathedrals. It examines the repertoire they sung, their work outside the cathedrals and the incomes they generated through their music. The role of the vicars choral in the Dublin cathedrals is compared with those of their counterparts in English cathedrals in this book.
