The communities of Maranao Muslims in Biliran Province According to the data gathered by researchers throughout the island of Biliran, there are only three towns with Muslim inhabitants: Cabucgayan Town, with 10 Maranao Muslims living; the two towns identified as Town of Caibiran, with a population of 70 Maranao Muslim residents, whose NPDC office has proven the number of Muslims in the town; the Muslims who are in Maranao from Lanao, Marawi, and Maguindanao of Mindanao, although the center is Naval Biliran, where many Muslims live because their church or mosque stands or built-in Barangay Calumpang, based on DSWD of Barangay data with 50 households equal to the estimated 260 population in Barangay Calumpang. Biliran, the number of Muslims in the province is not alarmed by the continuing increase in the influx of Muslims coming to Biliran Island.
