FRANCES TRIX is Associate Professor of Linguistics and Anthropology at Indiana University, USA.  JOHN WALBRIDGE is a professor of Near Eastern Languages at Indiana University, USA, specializing in Islamic Philosophy, Science, and Education. The late LINDA WALBRIDGE was a cultural anthropologist who specialized in Shi'ism and minorities in Islamic countries.
