After 9/11 situation changed as immigration and terrorism were linked and after EU's involvement in war against terrorism issues concerning extremism and fundamentalism became of vital importance and issues of Muslim integration emerged.

Born in Skardu and belonging to an Army background Hina Ali later completed her early education from Gilgit, Northern Area's of Pakistan. Later she went to Islamabad for her Bachelors where she got roll of honours in her graduation. After getting admission in Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad she completed her MPhil and Masters from there.
