PERFORMANCE versus EVALUATION. Evaluation should serve to assess competence of the employee in order to assure quality. Research has found out that without a system, be it manually or electronically driven, to monitor the performance of employees, the level of production diminishes as they don t have a driving force towards better performance. therefore this book aims at bringing forward the need and the purpose of setting up an evaluation system. The book provides a practical way (the system) to carry out a staff evaluation especially for higher institutions of learning with a case study carried out from Mbarara university of Science and Technology(MUST).
