Fascinated with early sci-fi horrors like "The Blob," "Tarantula," and "Planet of the Apes" she also grew to love great fantasy literature, such as C.S. Lewis' "Narnia" series, Terry Brooks "Shannara," and Lloyd Alexander's "Chronicles of Prydain."
