SERENA KING is an author who has personally lived the challenge of making your way in the world when you're young, female and black. The child of troubled parents, she grew up in foster homes. Serena is an author, blogger and mentor. She has published content on Yahoo, provided journalistic coverage for the National Association for Black Accountants, and served as staff writer for The Panther Newsletter. She has also published a novel titled, "Loving LeGit" and a memoir, "My Absolute Journey." Both are available on Amazon.com.
