My Baby Journey is a multi-faceted text that includes a memoir, therapeutic ideologies, and endless amounts of space for guided processing and free writing. This journal is intended to be a safe space. It is here to serve as a guide to help you: identify your feelings, process your thoughts and emotions, effectively communicate your needs, gain comfort in setting boundaries, honor and prioritize self-care practices, and much more. You will find yourself gaining more clarity while also feeling validated, worthy, and supported in your journey. Beware, this journal is intended to make you "feel" your feelings. You will be stretched to explore hidden thoughts, which can be a bit scary, but also extremely liberating. The ultimate goal is to help you increase self-awareness and self-preservation while navigating the peaks and valleys of your baby journey.

Autorenporträt
Karen Balumbu-Bennett is a psychotherapist with an advance certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C), practicing in the greater Los Angeles area. Karen juggles being a mom, working full-time as a school-based therapist, and managing a growing private practice. Karen knows first hand about the difficulties associated with trying to conceive. After her own fertility challenges, she realized that those on this journey have a great need to prioritize self-care, community care, and all around emotional wellness. She believes that through active self-discovery and ultimately developing habits that encourage and support self-love, healing and inner peace can be achieved. Karen lives by the motto "balance over everything", which is a reminder that when aspects of life are in the correct proportion, overall wellness is possible. Learn more at www.karenthetherapist.com
