Autorenporträt
Amelia McAdler, born in San Jose, California, is the youngest of five children. At the age of 12, Amelia and her siblings were removed from an abusive home. After a temporary stay with friends, her family split and she went to live with relatives in Colorado. Amelia found interest in the history and progression of women's rights during high school. Influenced by a female English teacher, she decided to pursue a college education. She attended Pike's Peak Community College with a degree in Outdoor Leadership. Right out of college, she found a rewarding job as a Park Ranger. However, being a socially active feminist in a male dominated field, a negative work environment proved too disruptive and she was forced to change careers. Amelia currently lives in Boulder, Colorado; where she works as an author, poet, and ambassador for women everywhere.
