Autorenporträt
Andrew Merritt is a thinker, a gifted expository teacher, and a passionate and powerful preacher. He holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Theology. With his wife, Viveca, he pastors the Straight Gate Church in Detroit, Michigan, which has a strong outreach to the inner city. Starting with only three members in 1979, Straight Gate Church now has some six thousand members, and has moved from six locations because of its phenomenal growth to its present seven-and-a-half-acre campus. Pastor Merritt new Creation House release is entitled: My Faith Is Taking Me Someplace. He has been recognized as "Minister of the Year" by the Michigan Chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, and received the "YMCA Minority Achievers Award." He has been invited to give the invocation for the Michigan House of Representatives in Washington.
