Cheryl C.C. McKenzie founded Kriss Kross Fashions, a small design studio in New York City in the 1980s, specializing in couture ladies' and men's wear. Her love of simple and well-fitted, floral, and print dresses was the impetus for following her dream of becoming a fashion designer. Cheryl served as an Academic Advising Specialist at City University of New York for thirty years, retiring in 2021. She worked with young adults undecided about earning a college degree. Students continuously commented on her encouraging and inspiring approach to education. "Ms. Mckenzie is the best advisor I had." "She understands me and is very helpful.
