My Forever Super Hero is a sensitive and humorous narrative about a boy and his family's journey with Alzheimer's disease. Based on the actual experiences of the author and other caregivers, the story is told from the perspective of an adolescent son, providing the reader with an understanding of the emotions and stress experienced by family members. The reader can also begin to see the difficulties experienced by the family in accepting and understanding the complications of this disease. Following the story, the author provides an explanation of the range of emotions a person will likely experience, as well as skills to better manage those emotions. This book is a valuable resource for families (and any other individuals) struggling to understand Alzheimer's disease and the impact it has on the family and loved ones. The first portion of this book tells the story of a teenage boy whose father begins to demonstrate symptoms of dementia at an early age. It is told from the boy's perspective, and describes the feelings and day to day experiences he had during his family's journey with dealing with early onset Alzheimer's disease at the pre-diagnosis stage. The second part of the book focuses on providing information about Alzheimer's and other dementias, as well as feelings, stress management, and self-care for family members.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
