Heather Hamilton-Hawke, CCLS was born and raised in a small farming community in southwest Nebraska. Gifted with sincere compassion for others, she has worked with children for decades, guiding them through difficult challenges and making a lasting impact on their lives. Heather practices as a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) for over 19 years, both in and out of the hospital clinical setting. Her desire to help others, coupled with her dedication to the children and families she serves, led her to her current career as a Family Services Counselor. In this role, Heather has worked with multiple organ procurement organizations throughout the United States, supporting families though devastating grief and tragedy. Her extensive work experience and innate ability to connect with others though the life-saving process of organ donation has provided her with the opportunity to write her first book. Heather currently created and owns 3H Consulting, an LLC that provides support and education to families going though the grief process. Heather currently resides in Omaha, Nebraska with her husband, Shon, two stepdaughters and their mini-aussie, Doochi. In her spare time, she enjoys the Colorado mountains, and visiting Florida beaches with her friends and family. Heather would like to thank her family, friends, and the Lord for continuing to support her though this adventure.
