The title My Invention Testimony came from the journal I kept as I worked on my invention called "Food Separators." As I was being introduced to the world of inventions, I persevered through a lot of frustrations and hostile ordeals during my learning experiences. I've heard in several sermons from various pastors, including my own, that when one commits themselves to carry out an assignment for God, one would most likely experience an aloofness of family and friends. What a true statement! I did lose a closeness with my family, biological and Christian alike. I became like a plague to them because I no longer did the things I use to do. I wanted, as well as needed, to spend as much time with the Lord as possible. My desire to spend more time with Him brought about undesirable situations with people of whom I used to have a closeness to. Not only did I have personal attacks, but in terms of business, it has been a long and tough journey with my endeavors to get prototypes of my invention, as well as making decisions to manufacture, license, or self-distribute. The decision that I make would determine my success or failure. I had a lot of decisions to make before I could even get my invention on the market. I so often found myself praying and asking God for His direction and guidance. After about six months into the invention process, I heard the Holy Spirit speak to me and say, "Here is your book. Continue to write and place glory on my name." I couldn't believe what I heard, but after hearing the Lord speak, I looked at my journal and realized, Wow, this is a book. I was a little hesitant because I had no inclination of writing a book. The thought never crossed my mind. Besides, I was so caught up in venturing out and searching for information on how to make the right decisions concerning my invention that I didn't have time for anything else. As I stated before, I had no thoughts of writing a book, but I was obedient to God. This book is an actual testimony of almost everything that I've gone through to get this far with my invention. I say almost, because I'm not finished with publicizing my invention, and it is not yet fully on the market. I've done two illustrations with self-made prototypes, and they were a big hit. Everyone liked them, but I still have a long way to go. I thank God for His vision and for allowing me to partner with Him in sharing the experience of this venture.
