Autorenporträt
Monica Wellington was born in London and lived in Switzerland and Germany as a child. She has written and illustrated over 35 picture books for young children, including Apple Farmer Annie, Zinnia's Flower Garden, Crepes by Suzette, and Mr. Cookie Baker. In tableaux of bold, brilliant colors, her characters learn lessons about daily life, work, and the natural world. She lives in New York City. Some of her favorite things are: baking desserts, eating chocolate, traveling to France, and going to museums. She teaches at the School of Visual Arts.
