This book is a telling narrative of my own and my mother's own personal journey and her perplexing homosexual orientation throughout my childhood and on up. I have always been a private person so publishing this work, which digs deeply into my personal life, is a monumental step for me. This book will show the real me that many have not known yet. Alienated from my mother as a child, and my true personality suppressed by secrecy and lies, I slowly grew into a son that could recognize my mother for whom she is, my mother, simply another person. With interweaving factors of homosexuality, neglect, abuse, deep-seated religious undertones, reminiscent 90s elements, struggles to understand and forgive each other, deep introspection, and ongoing journey, the intention is to initiate the bridging of gaps between family members that have become estranged from one another due to differing views on sexual orientation. So, journey with my mother and I, and hopefully this can help bridge some gaps between you and your loved ones, through love and understanding of humanity.

Autorenporträt
Hello everyone, I'm D. E. Cupertino and I am a millennial, without a man-bun, that is. I am simply a grass-roots kind of guy. I was raised in rural Arizona by my grandparents and my mother, they being deeply Catholic people and my mother being a lesbian, it was an interesting dynamic to say the least. Though I am an independent person both of these influences played significant roles in molding me as I am today. I grew up a single child and this helped me to become even more autonomous. I have been working on my book project for the last year in the hopes that it will have a decent impact on the world to serve humanity.
