Mayar Akash has written a numbers of books relating to Bangladeshi community in United Kingdom and specifically about the Sylhetis. Mayar's books have been published through the "Bangladeshi East End, imprints. Mayar also has published four other books about his personal life, the are "Father to Child" - collection poems and proses about growing up and his married life. His second book "River of life" was a reflective book about life through his accounts and poems.
