Autorenporträt
Lily Golden was born in Uzbekistan and educated in the Soviet Union at Moscow State University, where she later worked in the Institute of African Studies and eventually became its director. In 1993 she became a distinguished scholar in residence at Chicago State University where she remained until she began a book lecture tour in 2002.
