Autorenporträt
Audrey Pierce Battle was born and raised in Roanoke Rapids, NC. She didn't jump out of airplanes like her sister, Faith did in the Army, but she still considers herself a Veteran too. She has written poems, skits and plays. She starred in one of her plays as an old woman which got rave reviews. This is Audrey's first children's book but will not be her last. She loves to laugh. She believes a belly laugh a day will keep the doctors away. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Samuel - who can sometimes be heard telling Audrey - "You beat everything Barney." A line Samuel often borrows from The Andy Griffith Show - which means Audrey has done it again! They live in North Carolina and have four adult children, and eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
